Candle 37: Yap Ying Moi

Here's another update to Project Kindle. This time we're hearing from Yap Ying Moi (Class of 1980) who now lives in Japan. She's especially keen to get in touch with her classmates so if you know Ying Moi, please leave a comment on this blog post and we'll reconnect you! Many BBGSians have found their long-lost friends through this blog...hurray...that's the reason I set it up in the first place.

Dear Joanna,

Thank you for having me as your FB friend. I graduated from Tingkatan 5 in 1980, which means I am much older than you. If I am not mistaken , you were still in BBGS in the '90s. (Joanna: Actually, I left in '89!) It is great to be connected to a former BBGSians, and if you know anyone of my age, could you refer them to me. I was under Ms. Cooke and for the last 2 or 3 years I was under Mrs. Ang. I am now in Japan but I go back to KL every year.

Name: Yap Ying Moi
Years in BBGS: 1970 - 1980.
Based in : Japan
Job: Language teacher, interpreter and translator
People I wish to be reconnected to: Chan Ooi Kuan, Chia Bee Joo, Leong Yin San and anyone who thinks she knows or remembers me.
